Athena Chu was born on 25 October 1971 in Hong Kong. Since 2012, she's been married to Goon Chung Woong. They share a child.

Sasha revealed that she had been transgender for a while. These were tough years, but Sasha was confident that with the help of his family and music she could take on anything. Jim and Sasha who are both writers have recently become an official couple and are performing in open mics, as well as at other local venues. The Voice coaches never discussed the background of Sasha, however Jim and Sasha shared their story in a clip that was presented prior to their show.
